Sustainability in Sport
A Curious Cow Talk with Karl Walker and Tom Old
With regret, this event has had to be cancelled. We will be posting new Curious Cow Talk events imminently and look forward to seeing at one of those.
If you love sport as much as we do, we think you’ll share our view that sport can save the world!
Arsenal football club recently signed up to affordable and reliable, clean energy and now offer this deal to their fans and members. National League team Forest Green Rovers have transformed their national club into a beacon of sustainability and use a solar powered mover, demonstrating that all the solutions we need are already available to us. We can maintain our overall prosperity and overcome the challenges faced through the vehicle of sport.
Halton UK is in a unique position to show leadership, so its worth doing this and doing it well! The rewards of taking action include strengthening our community values and safeguarding the future of our children. So like the curious cow, walk across the painted cattle grid and come and see how we can use good old-fashioned common sense to make a difference.
Karl Walker and Tom Old have thought about this a great deal, and have a wealth of experience and knowledge in the field to share.

Having worked for over 10 years in the consumer-tech industry, I have come to realise that the consumption of goods and services dictates to a large degree how we impact our fragile planet. Businesses therefore have a unique opportunity to transform their environmental footprint and that of their customers and staff. A growing number of businesses, including many of the worlds largest corporations now live by the three P's: People, Planet & Profits. We aim to operate by these values and hope we have developed a business that is not only delivering against a strong social mission, but providing outstanding customer service in the process.
